'Homey' hits 7 on World Jazz Radio Charts!

"Steinway Jazz Artist Clinician & New York Jazz Artist Lenore Rafael & The Bob Levey Tim Fox Trio" - April 14th

She will be headlining with Tim Fox, Tom Paxton and myself on Sunday April 11th 3:30 Roaring fork High School.. We will be doing some great standards and some of Lenore's own compositions "One for Chet" (Chet Baker) and "Blues for Op" (Oscar Peterson) She is swingin and a master on her instrument, and on top of that, truly a great spirit. Lenore is actually the person who asked for my cd when I we first got it pressed and said to me "Bob you should put this out there, send it to my station purejazzradio.com in N.Y. attn Rich Keith and he will play it" We are now on about 40 stations across the country and gaining more everyday.

Homey is about going back to your roots and facing the good and the bad, and the ups and downs of life. We are all going home at some point, so it is better if we find a piece of that here and find peace with it, rather than run from it.

The music on this cd is dedicated to my father Stan Levey and also my FATHER THE ALMIGHTY (don't get this confused with religion). I thank my friends Tim Fox, Justin Pfeifer, Ashton Taufer for being there for me and making this music come alive with their commitment to reaching inside and bringing it to life.

Melodic drummer and big influence on my playing, this shot was taken in 1953 when I first got to meet my Dad after a bit of separation due to life's circumstances. I worked at Shelley's Mann Hole briefly as a doorman.

"The Fiddler On The Roof" '07

The Fiddler was performed at "The Wheeler Opera House" in 07 for a Christmas concert. We were asked to perform there by my good friend Derek Brown, he puts this on every other year for the community and is the musical director for Crossroads Church in Aspen.
